Every young adult ponders questions surrounding potential careers. Many students are unprepared to answer these questions at different points in college. Deciding on a lifelong career at this age seems a heavy and pressure-filled process. My skills and preferred hobbies have sparked a keen interest in the expanding and mixed field of graphic design and marketing. After exposure to design and marketing classes, my journey at Auburn University feels natural, like something just clicked and inspired a new passion in me.

Passion is essential to success, and I believe finding it now lays the groundwork for a solid future. I never dreamed my hobbies and interests could become my career reality until this university experience opened my eyes to the possibility. I no longer feel afraid to take chances and embrace opportunities. I want to stretch my capabilities beyond boundaries and grow as a student, a person, and now an employee in the real world. A graphic design job utilizes creativity and artistry while combining business marketing, and I strive for an opportunity in this field to succeed and differentiate myself. We all dream inspired by family, admired role models, or different situations, and we want to realize these dreams after graduation. Dreams are not easily achieved but require hard work and determination, and I have been pushing myself since arriving at Auburn. I am an Auburn University senior majoring in graphic design and minoring in business marketing. It still seems unbelievable to go from a small Delaware town all the way to a beautiful school in Alabama. The friendly atmosphere, rigorous program, dedicated teaching staff, and student focus attracted me to Auburn. The faculty encourages student success through an inclusive environment where everyone has a place. The academics challenge students yet instill confidence, while devoted teachers continually encourage everyone to reach their potential. I believe in my success here as professors have inspired me to push harder and strive higher than I ever imagined. Everyone yearns to belong, and Auburn transformed that feeling I always wanted into something I now possess.
